Great Toy! Great Service
I ordered 2 of these toys. One for my daughter and one for my niece, both for their 2nd birthdays ( 4 days apart).
The toy is very well made, and really cute. The girls were both delighted to open them and tried their best to get the elephant to walk down the ramp. They were a bit young ( 3 months later and it's much better) but with our help they loved seeing the adorable elephant slowly make his way to the bottom of the ramp.
Unfortunately, my daughter's toy did not work properly and the elephant would stop after a few steps. My nieces worked perfectly. Luckily, AMAZON is really on top of their customer service!! Within a few hours someone had emailed me back with how to return the toy and they sent a new one in the mail. I live in Canada and am so impressed with how easily they took care of us! Thank you Amazon!! My daughter was so frustrated with hers that we had to hide it from her, so we are so excited to have a replacement.
I often order through Amazon as does...

Most Awesome Push toy/Roller commercially available
This is one of my son's very favorite toys from his 1st birthday/Christmas.

He was able to use it just a few weeks after learning to walk, and before that he rolled it on the floor. It makes a wonderfully pleasant sound (though it is a bit loud, but it's supposed to be). LOVE it so much more than the popper I grew up with. He "vacuums" with it, then it becomes a car, and even a guitar! It gets played with every single day.
LOVE Plan Toys for being non-toxic and a Green, eco-friendly company. There are two pop. european wood toy companies with similar products, and I will say that this one is much more substantial and of the three.

My son LOVES this toy!
My 20 month old son loves vacuums and lawn mowers. I got him the Plan Toy Walk N Roll hoping that he would enjoy it (and leave my vacuum in the closet). He absolutely loves this toy. I love it too, because the wood is smooth, the colors are bright without being garish, and the noise it makes is loud enough he likes it but without being annoying to me. My mom even enjoyed hearing it in the background while I was on the phone with her. My favorite part is that it's not electronic!!!

***UPDATE: 12/2010: My son loved his first Plan Walk N Roll to death. Literally - he banged it on our concrete sidewalk multiple times trying to "dump out grass" while acting out the way I tip our reel mower on its side to sweep grass out of it. He did it so much that he actually cracked the wood multiple times. We were able to repair it twice with super glue but the third time it was unrepairable. He still loved the toy so much that I got him a second one, with the explanation that he...
Every home with a walking tot needs one
We own one and my 3 yr old still plays with it. My 11 mth old does as well although he doesn't go as fast as his older brother. Bought it as a gift for a one yr old and again the 3 yr brother stole it from her!

As always Plan Toys comes through
This is so cute. It's big for my 7.5 month old, but she is already trying to walk. I searched for dimensions everywhere, but no luck. If you need them, floor to top of the handle is 20 1/2 ", at it's widest, it is 13 1/4" and it is 19" deep. The noise of the woodpeckers is nice. It's noticible, but not annoyingly loud. I'm not sure how effective the mechanism is for slowing down the speed at which a baby can walk. It seems you can either let the wheels go all the way or not at all. I didn't find much of an in between. Very easy to assemble. I was disappointed that some glue was showing - its clear glue, but just looks a bit sloppy. Overall, I am very please and this is much nicer than some others out there.

Not sure it was worth the money
I love that this walker is wood and that it has a retro feel. That said, I'm not sure it was worth the money. First of all, when it arrived, one of the clicking flaps had broken off. We had to re-attach it with wood glue. Also, we have some carpet in our house and even with the knob completely loosened, my daughter usually tips it forward when she tries to push it there. On the tile, it works great, but carpet, not so much. Plus, she can unscrew the knob completely and take it off. I haven't found it in her mouth yet, but I'm sure I will. I still like the toy because it's so unique. And I want to love it, but I can't say I do.
Great toy
This toy looks better in person than it does on the website. I was very apprehensive about spending $70 on a toy without examining it in person. Where to begin...you can't tell from the picture but there are two "legs" that stick out the back past the wheels that prevent the walker from tipping backwards on to the child. The mechanism to control how fast the back wheels turn works excellently and is easy to use. I have been able to adjust it to work on several different surfaces (both hard surfaces and different thicknesses of carpet). the back wheels have rubber on them which creates a better grip on the floor and helps to slow down the walker. In front of the woodpeckers are two pieces of wood. each wood pecker taps on a different piece of wood. the woodpeckers peck at irregular intervals and at different times. the craftmenship is wonderful. the finish is beautiful. no flaws. no complaints. the handle bar is at a great height. i was afraid it would be too short for my son, but it...

Better than Plastic
This is a good walker for babies who have strong balance already and who are very close to walking or already walking. Otherwise the bar being in the back can cause it to flip back when baby puts too much weight on the bar. The walker does not turn w/out tilting it back and using the rear wheels, so I have to help my baby turn it. The product makers needed to include two screw end cap things (don't know what they're called) that are set inside the wood in order to rotate the bar to the lower height.

I think it is actually helping my baby to develop the right muscles for walking, unlike what they say about the round walkers (the kind that surround the baby). I like that it has a knob to tighten so the walker slows down.

It's bright and pretty to look at, better than those big plastic things. The blocks are of good quality.

My baby likes it !

Awesome toy, if it didn't fall over on my son :(
This is a wonderfully well-made, durable wooden walker. The option to adjust the rear wheel resistance is excellent, except when a young child attempts to pull it backward to walk with it again. In that case, the front of the walker tips upward and often falls. Also, if my one-year-old son put a little too much weight on the handle either from behind or attempting to reach it from the front of the walker, or tried to pull up on it, it toppled over with him or sideways onto him. (The handle of the walker is what would actually fall on him, as the base is too low to the ground to do so.) He hurt his lip pretty badly on the handle one of the times he fell. I understand this is "user error" but how can you explain proper use to a one-year-old? I think Plan Baby could compensate for this by weighting the base a little more to help prevent it from tipping so easily. As much as my son enjoyed pushing this toy around and playing with the wooden blocks, I had to return it because I couldn't...
Safe and sturdy walker!
This is one of the best and affordable walkers on the market for the high quality it is. It's solid and sturdy wood with non-slip wheels (good for tile and wooden floors). It's well balanced and has an adjustable handle-bar for two heights, as well as a tension wheel to adjust the speed that your little one is walking. Forget the plastic ones--the wheel base is usually too small so they kick the wheels as they walk, they're too light-weight so topple easily, and the plastic wheels are inefficient and slippery on anything other than carpet (which has to be thin or the wheels will get bogged down). My daughter has used this walker since 10 months of age and she loves it! She could have used it earlier, but it took me some time to find the right one (we had borrowed an awful plastic one and learned our lesson when she toppled over while pushing it). We'll get years of use out of it as it's also fun to put things in and push around.
