Great. Attractive. No splinters...
I almost passed this toy over because of another reviewer's comments about splinters and unfinished wood. Maybe that person got a dud but I couldn't imagine someone being so irresponsible as to put an unfinished wooden toy onto the market. Isn't that illegal anyway? Anyhow, there wasn't a splinter in sight. This toy is not only one of the more affordable push-toys on the market but it's sturdy (no tipping over), solid, attractive and has several areas of interest for the child to explore.
I bought this when my son was about 10 months old and just on the cusp of walking. He never used it for that purpose and only used it to pull up a couple of times; however considering the way the base is designed, had he chosen to, I think it would have been helpful in teaching him to balance.
Now at 1 he's a solid walker and loves to look in the mirror, clank on the "marimba" and push the wooden farm animals on the side along their path. This is a great toy which I know we'll...

Cute but useless and potentially dangerous
I bought this walker because I prefer to purchase wooden toys for my son over plastic stuff that will never biodegrade. It's a lovely-looking toy, but unfortunately it is poorly designed for its purpose as a walker or activity station.
First and most importantly, the base of the walker is too shallow (front to back) and/or the wheels are too small -- it frequently threatens to tip forward when my son pushes it. This toy is not ergonomically designed for use as a push-toy. If I were not constantly hovering over him while he uses it (and I am usually no helicopter parent), I have no doubt he would have fallen on his face on top of the walker by now. NOT SAFE.
Second, the "xylophone" barely makes any tones. There should be a cut-out of the face of the walker behind the keys so that they can reverberate better. As it is, the mallet (the string of which, furthermore, is barely long enough to reach the leftmost key) makes nearly the same sound hitting a...
Beautiful! Colorful!
This push along is very attractive to kids because of the colors and various play activities on it. We were very pleased with the construction and durability of it!
