The Little Tikes Little Landscaper Mulching Mower is the irresistible toy that lets children be like Mom or Dad with a pretend mower made just for little ones. A 2001 Best Toys Finalist by Oppenheim Toy Portfolio, this rough-and-tumble model is made for indoor or outdoor play. It is designed to resemble the real thing and boasts an open-and-close "gas" cap and a clicking key and throttle. Yet because it's created with kids in mind, this colorful mower also has popping beads, easy rolling wheels and a handle that allows your child to hold onto different levels as he or she grows. Made in USA. 20-1/2Hx12-1/2Wx23D".A realistically noisy pretend lawn mower with fun visual effects, this one is likely to get a good deal of use by toddlers who want to play grownup. The coolest part of this toy is the see-through plastic mulch compartment. It's full of tiny colored beads that dance around when the mower is in motion, giving the illusion of grass being mulched. An on/off key, gear switch, gas cap, and a loud popping noise add to the entertaining components. Made in typically durable Little Tikes fashion, this toy will stand up to many miles of lawn mowing. --Jane Snyder

Great for babies who can walk a few steps on their own
My 14-month-old son received this for his first birthday and it has been his favorite toy ever since.
He uses it indoors and outdoors. He pulls it, pushes it, pushes down on the handle to flip it up and look at the underside, plays with the controls, opens and closes the "gas cap", etc. He never tires of it. His latest game is to set a big ball on the "engine", and try to push the mower around without bumping the ball off.
IMPORTANT: This mower is great for babies who already can walk one or two steps on their own, or who can stand steadily on their own. It's not great for babies who need something to lean on in order to stand up or walk. If a baby leans or pulls up on the handle, they will not get the support they expect -- the handle will fall to the floor, taking them with it.
My son was walking about four or five steps on his own when he received this mower. His walking ability quickly skyrocketed after receiving it -- perhaps due to his strong...

Our carpet is the envy of the neighborhood!
My son received this mower (well actually, the red and black version, but it's the same toy) for his first birthday, because we thought he might be able to use it as a walker. He could not. The base is much too light for a learning walker to practice with, so stick with a regular walker for that. He learned to walk incredible quickly, though, and a few weeks after his birthday, he was running through the house, "mowing" the living room. It is still (6 months later) one of his favorite toys, and he plays with it every day.
my sons favorite!!
We bought this last year when my son was about 16 months old, he loved it then and loves it now!! He is quite good at sharing his toys, apart from this mower.
my friends have bought 'bubble mowers' for their children and have ended up buying this one because the others stop working after a while. It is a very durable, simple, inexpensive toy that children do not seem to tire of. Money well spent!!
